Valberedningen
Vid årsmötet 27 april 2019 beslutades det att gårdsombuden även är valberedning.

Valberedningarnas uppgift är att underlätta valen på stämman. Det finns inga formella regler för hur arbetet ska bedrivas, men i många föreningar står det i stadgarna hur en valberedning ska utses. Om det inte gör det finns inget som hindrar att föreningen utser en valberedning. Valberedningen väljs på ordinarie stämma och frågan tas upp som en särskild punkt på dagordningen i kallelsen till stämman. Oftast väljs tre ledamöter varav en utses som sammankallande. Ingenting hindrar att valberedningen föreslår en av de egna ledamöterna till någon post.
Valberedningens första uppgift är att föreslå ledamöter och suppleanter till styrelsen men de kan också lämna förslag i samband med andra frågor på stämman. Det innebär till exempel att förslag kan lämnas angående storlek på arvoden och på val av ordförande för stämman, justeringsmän och revisorer. För att förbereda valet av revisor kan valberedningen också begära in offert och arbetsbeskrivning från flera revisionsföretag.
Om någon ur valberedningen muntligt framställer valberedningens förslag bör det också sändas ut skriftligt tillsammans med kallelsen. Naturligtvis är inte stämman på något sätt bunden av valberedningens förslag, även andra förslag kan läggas fram och behandlas på stämman.
Nominating Committee

The task of the nominating committee is to facilitate elections at the meeting. There are no formal rules on how the work should be conducted, but in many associations, the bylaws specify how a nominating committee should be appointed. If not, there is nothing to prevent the association from appointing a nominating committee. The nominating committee is elected at the regular meeting, and the issue is addressed as a separate item on the agenda in the notice of the meeting. Usually, three members are elected, one of whom is appointed as the convener. Nothing prevents the nominating committee from proposing one of its own members for a position.
The first task of the nominating committee is to propose members and deputies to the board, but they can also make proposals in connection with other matters at the meeting. This means, for example, that proposals can be made regarding the amount of remuneration and the election of the meeting chairman, adjusters, and auditors. To prepare the election of an auditor, the nominating committee may also request quotes and job descriptions from several auditing firms.
If a member of the nominating committee verbally presents the committee's proposals, they should also be sent out in writing along with the notice of the meeting. Naturally, the meeting is in no way bound by the nominating committee's proposals, and other proposals can also be put forward and considered at the meeting.
